Date: Saturday, September 26th, 2020
Time: 10 – 4 pm
Leader(s): Jess Riddle
Location: Fightingtown Creek Project
Outing Description: We need to monitor Forest Service timber harvests, and right now we’re in a good position to refine how we do that. One lesson from reviewing the Sumac Creek Project is that it’s easiest to review these projects as they are completed or shortly afterwards. That makes Fightingtown ideal as loggers are currently part way through their harvests.
Distance and Difficulty: We probably won’t walk more than a couple of miles, but some of it could be tricky as we traverse slopes with the tops of trees scattered across them.
Meeting Place Directions: We’ll meet at the Wal-Mart in Blue Ridge. We’ll gather at the first part of the parking lot you come to and caravan from there.
