Outing Description:
One great thing about north Georgia is the variety in our woods, and recognizing different tree species can make it easier to appreciate that variety. We’ll take a leisurely stroll around the lake, stopping frequently to examine trees of different species. The emphasis will be on characters useful for identification, natural habitat, and unique traits.

Meeting Place Directions:
Group Pavilion at Lake Winfield Scott Recreation Area. A $5.00 cash parking fee is required.

Distance and Difficulty: 
1.0 miles, easy.

What to Bring and Wear:
Raincoat, comfortable shoes, and a notepad.

Cancellation: If Outing is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you via email by 6:00 pm on the evening before.

Pet Policy: No pets please.
