Location: Till Ridge Cove/Patterson Gap Rabun County
Outing Description: View lush wildflower display on side of Grassy Ridge featuring hundreds of trillium grandiflorum after short walk. For those up for a longer hike, we will travel on up to Nichols Gap to eat lunch with fabulous views down into Betty’s Creek Valley and on to Pickens Nose and Albert Mountain in the Nantahala National Forest. This hike is within the Patterson Gap Georgia’s Mountain Treasure.
Meeting Place Directions: Ingles Parking Lot, 176 US 441, Clayton, GA 30525. Meet at left rear of lot when looking at the store. This will be to the north of the Garden Center. We will be traveling on Forest Service Roads to reach the trailhead. You must be comfortable to drive on this type road to attend the hike.

Distance and Difficulty: Less than two miles round trip to wildflower display. Optional hike further up to Nichols Gap makes it about a five mile round trip hike.
What to Bring and Wear: Lunch, snacks, water, rain gear, wear long pants as wildflowers are off-trail. Lunch will be at Nichols Gap for those who do the longer hike. Those who turn back may eat lunch in Till Ridge Cove or back at Patterson Gap.
Cancellation: If Outing is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you via email by 6:00 pm on the evening before.
