Location: Bartram Trail. Warwoman Dell to Big Rock overlook, Rabun County Georgia

Outing Description: We’ll explore the remains of the failed Blue Ridge Railroad (1850s) and CCC structures (1930s) in Warwoman Dell before hiking to Big Rock, a rock outcrop used by the Boy Scouts for repelling. Oh, and spring wildflowers and migrating warblers!

Meeting Place Directions: Warwoman Dell, Clayton, GA. From 441N turn right on Warwoman Road. At approximately 4 miles turn right into Warwoman Dell. Park in first parking area on left. Additional parking is available further down the road if area is full.

Distance and Difficulty:  ~ 5 miles, moderate difficulty

What to Bring and Wear: Snack, lunch, water, rain gear if needed

Cancellation: If Outing is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you via email by 6:00 pm on the evening before.

Pet Policy: One pet per hiker allowed!
