Location: Chattooga River Trail
Outing Description: Celebrate the first day of winter with a hike along the Chattooga River Trail in a Georgia Mountain Treasure (Thrifts Ferry). This hike is an in-and-out. We’ll stop for lunch beside the beautiful Chattooga River before heading back to our cars.
Meeting Place Directions: Southeastern Expeditions parking lot – 7350 US-76, Clayton, GA 30525. From 441 take Hwy 76 East for 7.1 miles to Southeastern Expeditions on right.

Distance and Difficulty: 7 miles on mostly moderate terrain with occasional inclines.
What to Bring and Wear: Bring plenty of water, snacks and lunch, sturdy footwear, rain gear (just in case) and an adventurous spirit.
Cancellation: If Outing is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you via email by 6:00 pm on the evening before.
Pet Policy: One pet per hiker allowed.
