Outing Description: We’ll stop at scenic Fall Branch Falls before continuing on into the heart of the Rock Mountain Georgia Mountain Treasure. The Benton MacKaye Trail will take us along high ridges and across the fern covered slopes of Rocky Mountain’s northern face. We’ll return by the same route. Along the way we’ll stop to discuss the species and ecology of the area along with anything else of interest that we find.

Meeting Place Directions: Fall Branch Falls trailhead. From East Ellijay, take 515/76 north about 9 miles and turn right onto Rock Creek Connector. In 0.1 miles, turn right onto Rock Creek Road and follow it 5.9 miles to the trailhead (road will turn to gravel but is generally in good condition).
