Georgia ForestWatch held a series of FREE community events to celebrate the completion and publication of Georgia’s Mountain Treasures — a 2.5-year, grassroots effort involving not only our staff, but many partners, members, volunteers, and donors.

This full-color publication provides descriptions, directions, and maps for 40 unprotected wildlands in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests. Our goal with this project is to provide the public with a tool they can use to speak for greater protection of these special places.

Members received a FREE copy of Georgia’s Mountain Treasures and also heard from staff and partners about the work that’s been done and how you can take action to help protect these special places.
